The Golden Age of Imperial China Haute Couture 2015/3rd Challenge

MISS SL Canada has styled her outfit based on the traditions from Ancient Chinese beliefs:

Chinese dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and Chinese folklore. Chinese dragons traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, hurricane, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck for people who are worthy of it. With this, the Emperor of China usually used the dragon as a symbol of his imperial power and strength.

Red represents good fortune and joy and it is found everywhere during the Chinese New Year and other family holidays or gatherings.

Yellow/Gold is considered the most beautiful color. The Chinese saying, Yellow generates Yin and Yang, implies that yellow is the center of everything. Yellow means also neutrality and good luck and is sometimes paired with red in place of gold. Yellow was the color of Imperial China and is held as the symbolic color of the five legendary emperors of ancient China.

As always, continue to reach for the stars, no matter how out of reach they seem.

Much Love Always,
